Change In Speed

Problem---
Does the speed of the ball change when you change the angle on the ramp?

Hypothesis---
I hypothesis that the speed will change when I change the angle on the ramp because it will be at different angles which affects the acceleration to either go slower or fast depending on what angle you change it to.

Materials---
Ramp
Different angles
Object (ball)
Pencil
Paper
Laptop

Procedure---
Gather all materials
Make different angles
Drop the ball and time it as it goes down the ramp
Record your results
Change the ramp to a different angle
Repeat steps 3 and 4
Change the ramp to a different angle then the first and second time
Repeat steps 3 and 4 again
Clean up

Variables---
DV: Ramps/Different angles
CV: Same ramp, same ball, same timer, same location
IV: Ramp
CONTROL: Same ramp but different angles

Conclusion---
In conclusion my hypothesis was right because the speed of the ball did change when I changed the angles on it. The speed of the ball changed because when the angles were put at different angles the speed either got faster or slower.

Dominoes Speed

Problem---
Will the distance of the dominoes affect the speed of the dominoes falling?

Hypothesis---
I hypothesis that it will change the speed of the dominoes falling because if the dominoes are farther apart from each other it will probably have a slower speed and if they are closer together the speed will go faster.

Materials---
Dominoes
Object
Ball/Marble
Paper
Pencil

Procedure---
Gather all materials
Set up dominoes
Do first experiment with dominoes close to each other.
Record results
Set up second thing of dominoes
Do second experiment with dominoes in a different distance from each other
Record results
Repeat steps 1-3 with the dominoes in different distances
Make sure your recorded all your results
Clean up

Variables---
DV: Dominoes
CV: Same dominoes, same marble
IV: Stop watch/dominoes
CONTROL: Dominoes in different distances from each other

Conclusion---
In conclusion I hypothesized that the speed in the dominoes changed when i put them in different distances from each other. My hypothesis was right because when I did the experiment the dominoes went faster when they were closer together and faster when they were farther apart from each other.

Friction and Gravity

Problem---
Does mass affect the speed of the ball when it falls?

Hypothesis---
I hypothesis that mass does not affect the speed of the ball because mass is just like weight and

Materials---
Soda Can
Wedge(s)
Objects (ball)
Paper
Pencil

Procedure---
Gather all materials
Drop the ball
Record results
Repeat steps 2 and 3 a few times

Variables---
DV: Ball
CV: Same ball, same mass, same object, same distance dropping the ball
IV: Mass
CONTROL: The distance of the ball dropping

Conclusion---
In conclusion my hypothesis was

VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE RESOURCES AND ENERGY ESSAY
There are many different types of energy. We should be using these types of alternative energy resources today. One type of energy is Solar Energy which is for heating water, generating electricity and concentrating solar energy to create fuel for your vehicles. Another type of energy is Biomass Energy. Biomass Energy is discovered in many ways to use corn, corn stalks, wheat, pine cones, twigs and bark to generate fuel to heat your home or drive your vehicle. Wind Energy is also one of the more popular alternative energy resources but no a resource for ever household. Hydrogen is one of my favorites, the must abundant element in the universe is Hydrogen. H2O. Some other resources include Hydropower Energy and Geothermal Energy. Hydropower Energy is Power that is derived from the weight or motion of water, used as a force to drive machinery. Geothermal Energy is energy derived from the heat in the interior of the earth.
